Manufactured by one of the very few companies that make decorative and functional weather vanes in the U.S., you can be assured that this is a durable piece that will hold its value for many, many years. Its made of heavy guage steel thats powder coated with a textured black finish designed to withstand the harshest of environments. The art and arrow have a nylon plug fixed into the bearing tube. This top is placed on the base which has a 3/8" steel "post" upon which the art&arrow swivel. Combined the nylon plug and pointed steel post create a long lasting self-lubricated bearing point. Each of our unique weather vane designs are delecately balanced so they will catch and point the direction of the wind. Our patent pending weather vane base can be mounted or set on a table top, or bent to fit on any size or shaped structure. Once mounted to a surface with adequate hardware, the steel post will not be easily moved from a vertical position, assuring years of doing its job. Fasteners not included. (NIB) The assembled weather vane measures 11"wide x 11.5"tall (with a 8"x8" base plate). It weighs approximately 2 pounds.
