Deploying some Purple Martin decoys can enhance your chances of establishing a Purple Martin colony site. Martins prefer the company of other breeding martins, so attracting the first pair to a new site is often difficult. Decoys can create the illusion that your site is already colonized, helping to convince cavity-hunting martins to stay and nest in your Purple Martin housing. These *FOUR* life-size decoys are 7 inches long and weigh about 1.5 oz. each. They are molded in dark blue HDPE plastic with UV inhibitors. Made in U.S.A. They can be mounted in several postures on either martin houses or gourds, and come with all mounting hardware and instructions. These decoys are highly-detailed, and were adapted from a professional Purple Martin carving by a World Class bird carver. Don’t endure another “martin-less†summer!
