Jiffy peat pellets are made from sphagnum peat from select peat bogs. Lime and a special fertilizer with low ammonium content are added to stimulate growth. Add warm water and these pellets expand into 1-3/4" X 1-3/4" containers that are held together with thin netting and has its own compartment for seeds. Surface sow or cover seeds with loosened peat as directed with seed instructions. When ready for transplanting, simply place the netted container directly into the ground or container. It does not disturb the plant's root system like conventional transplanting for better plant health. Also included are the much-needed plastic plant labels. These are produced from high impact recycled styrene to give the smoothest writing surface available. These are just the right height for dome covers. IDEAL FOR STARTING SEEDS EARLY INDOORS.
