Floating Garden (tm) Hydroponics Starter Kit The perfect way to get started in hydroponics very reasonably priced Abundant growth without soil! Grow lettuce, herbs, edible flowers, and chilies indoors or on your patio Our Floating Garden Hydroponics Starter Kit comes with everything you need to get started in hydroponics. All you do is assemble the kit (easy), add some seedlings or seeds (obtainable at the nursery), and follow our simple instructions. You will soon have a crop of renewable lettuces and herbs that you can harvest regularly. This kit is designed for a sunny indoor location or your patio or garden where you get at least partial sun during the day. For indoor growing you can use a grow light (available at garden supply stores) to supplement your room lighting. Lettuces including mesclun mixes, and basil are exceptionally easy to grow in our kits.The pictures show red and green leaf lettuces, red leaf lettuce in two stages of growth, and sweet basil, and marigolds growing in our Floating Garden kit. Our Floating Garden Kit contains: 1. a black plastic nutrient solution tray (11"x11"x2-1/2" deep) with 1/2 gallon nutrient capacity 2. a 1-1/2" thick white open-foam styrofoam planting bed with four pre-drilled openings for net pots to plant your seeds or seedlings, and a PVC fill port. 3. four (4) reusable net pots that fit into the openings in the styrofoam floating planting bed 4. four rockwool plugs that fit into the net cups for starting seeds or supporting cuttings. These can be re-used. 5. a quantity of small rockwool cubes and porous ceramic beads for supporting seedlings in the net cups. These can be re-used. 6. nutrient mixture in powdered form to make 5 gallons of nutrient solution (enough for 10 complete tray fillings) 7. complete instructions to insure successful, nutritious crops 8. all you add is seeds or bedding plants of your choice and you are ready to go!
