These lamps use the best phosphor, the Japanese made Nichea Tri-Phosphor. Bulbs made with the Nichea Phosphors stay brighter longer and make accurate, high color temperature light. A new (patent pending) aluminum oxide coating is applied to the glass tubes before the phosphor is applied. (This is like priming a surface before painting.) The result is a staggering 10% further increase in light level maintenance. My customers tell me that they can really tell the difference. Halo Phosphor, which at the moment is being used in many cheap imports, has very poor color and a very steep drop-off in light levels maintenance. (This compact fluorescents are a throwback to the time when people hated compact fluorescents because of their awful color and low light output.) They are LONG LASTING -We Stake our Reputation on these Bulbs! You can’t sell crummy product and keep customers. We have noticed that compact fluorescents have really been cheapened. Sure, they may say that the bulbs have a 6,000 hour, or maybe even a 10,000 hour life. But the truth is that customers say they have problems with competitor’s bulbs burning out after just a couple of months. We have 1000’s of these bulbs installed nation wide in agricultural buildings. They usually run 10-16 hours in the harshest conditions. You can save a lot of money if you can see in the Dark. When compact fluorescents first came out, they were usually given phony ratings! That does no good. If you exaggerate how bright your bulbs are, you will just make a bunch of honked off customers. I think that’s why it took so long for people to accept compact fluorescents. They had gotten burned so many times by unscrupulous marketers. This practice continues to this day. A typical door to door light bulb salesman will push something that’s supposed to be as bright as a 100 watt bulb, but it’s rarely as bright as an ordinary 75 watt bulb. Not so with us. This listing's bulbs produce considerably more lumens of light than a regular 100 watt light bulb. We don’t use Phony “scotopic†lumen ratings to make our bulbs look bright either. “Scotopic†ratings refer to how a dark adapted eye perceives light. Our scotopic bulb ratings would be much higher too. It will make more light using less energy than big “jumbo†sized compact fluorescents, and it costs less. (The smaller tube diameter of our bulbs makes them more energy efficient than fatter sized higher wattage compact fluorescents.)
