Coir Chips Bricks You are bidding on a lot of (4-Bricks) Coir Fiber Compressed Chips. Coir fiber is an excellent potting medium for Orchids, Bromeliads, Anthuriums, and Hydroponics. It has high water holding capacity and releases water evenly as the chips dry out. Superior for root growth and will wet and rewet easily. The pH of this medium is between 5.2-6.5 It is a waste product of the coconut harvest, and it also is a renewable resource. It holds 10 times its weight in water and does not shed water like peat moss. It is weed and pathogen free. Reusable up to 4 years. Pictures below show one brick expanded. Easy to use just soak in a bucket of warm water for about 35 minutes. Add a shot of Superthrive to the water for even better results. When all water is absorbed drain off extra water (pour into your garden, no need to waste that Superthrive injected moisture) stir coir till light and fluffy bake at 350 for 1 hour - Oh that is my famous oatmeal cookies baking instructions!
